Nel mio lavoro cerco la continuità con il nostro passato vicino o lontano, quindi ho immaginato di “rivisitarlo” nei suoi aspetti contraddittori e di provare a far emergere un’identità diversa, diversa da quella che “il solito mentale” ci trasmette indietro, ci proietta.

Il primo manichino, l’ho incontrato per caso per strada, mi ha colpito improvvisamente per la sua natura figurativa e simbolica: era il legame che cercavo. Lo sguardo con cui l’avvolsi era insieme tenero e ironico: stregato e rifiutato, sentivo come uno schianto indicibile, come un sentimento di ribellione. Da quel momento in poi il manichino avrebbe rappresentato “il legame” e “la rottura” con la storia passata, la tradizione.
Il “collegamento” è rappresentato dalle forme come sottile evocazione della memoria. Suggeriscono la bellezza a stretto contatto con la morte e in particolare esaltano l’immagine delle donne che esprimono la loro sensualità attraverso il proprio corpo e rivendicano una “testa” che pensa.
La “rottura” è rappresentata dall’utilizzo di materiali insoliti, eterogenei, arricchiti di simboli che entrano a far parte dell’opera pur continuando a rivendicare la propria specificità.
Il lavoro si traduce quindi in una metamorfosi storica incentrata sullo spostamento del tempo, del colore e di un ambiente insolito, perché non posso dimenticare o negare questo passato.

Je cherche dans mon travail la continuité avec notre passé proche ou lointain, aussi j’ai imaginé de le “re-visiter” dans ses aspects contradictoires et d’essayer d’en dégager une idendité autre, différente de celle que “l’habitude mentale” nous renvoie, nous projette.
Le premier mannequin, je l’ai rencontré par hasard dans la rue, il m’a subitement frappé par sa nature figurative et symbolique: c’était lui le lien que je cherchais.
Le regard dont je l’ai enveloppé était à la fois tendre et ironique: envoutée et rejettée, j’ai ressenti comme une indicible craquelure, comme un sentiment de rébellion.
Désormais le mannequin allait représenter “le lien” et “la rupture” aver l’histoire passée, la tradition.
Le “lien” est représenté par les formes comme évocation subtile de la mémoire. Elles suggérent la beauté cotoyant la mort et rehaussent en particulier l’image de la femme exprimant sa sensualité à travers son corps, et revendiquant une “tete” qui pense.
La “rupture” est répresentée par l’emploi de matériaux inhabituels, hétéroclites, enrichis de symboles qui s’intégrent à l’oeuvre tout en continuant à réclamer leur specificité.
L’oeuvre aboutit donc à une métamorphose historique axée sur le décalage du temps, la couleur et un environnement insolite, car ce passé je ne peux pas l’oblier, ni le nier.

In my work I look for continuity with our near or distant past, so I imagined “revisiting” it in its contradictory aspects and trying to bring out a different identity, different from the one that “the usual mental” transmits back to us, projects.

The first mannequin, I met by chance on the street, suddenly struck me for its figurative and symbolic nature: it was the link I was looking for. The look with which I wrapped it was both tender and ironic: bewitched and rejected, I felt like an unspeakable crash, like a feeling of rebellion. From that moment on, the mannequin would have represented “the link” and “the break” with past history, tradition.
The “connection” is represented by the forms as a subtle evocation of memory. They suggest beauty in close contact with death and in particular enhance the image of women who express their sensuality through their bodies and claim a “head” that thinks.
The “break” is represented by the use of unusual, heterogeneous materials, enriched with symbols that become part of the work while continuing to claim their own specificity.
The work therefore translates into a historical metamorphosis centered on the displacement of time, color and an unusual environment, because I cannot forget or deny this past.
